Fun recipes with breakfast cereals

We've prepared a few fun recipes that you can try out at home very easily. There are four categories:






Children’s parties

Kids’ favourite

Ingredients

  • 4 butter cookies per child
  • icing sugar
  • a little bit of water
  • breakfast cereals such as honey loops, choco rice crispies, honey balls, etc.

Directions

  1. Gather the kids together.
  2. Be sure to have everything close at hand.
  3. Let the older ones make icing from icing sugar and a drop or two of water.
  4. Drip the icing onto the butter cookies.
  5. Let the kids’ imagination run wild while they sprinkle the breakfast cereals on top of the icing. Then watch them enjoy this literally finger-licking good food.







Kid's Favourite

Ice-cream figures

Ingredients

  • ice-cream
  • ice-cream cones
  • breakfast cereals like choco shells, honey balls, choco balls, choco rice crispies
Mouse
  1. Take a brightly coloured bowl.
  2. Scoop out your favourite ice-cream flavour.
  3. Place it into a bowl.
  4. Put an ice-cream cone on top of the ball.
  5. Use choco balls or honey loops for the mouse’s little eyes, use choco shells for its big ears, and use choco rice crispies for the nose and smiley mouth.
Little Dragon
  1. Take a brightly coloured plate.
  2. Scoop out two balls (one small, one large) of your favourite ice-cream flavours.
  3. Place them next to each other on the plate.
  4. On the small ball use choco balls to give the little dragon eyes and a nose, then completely cover the body of the dragon with choco shells for shiny scales.

Use your imagination to create snowmen, lions, eagles, etc.

Goodies

Chocolate pralines

Ingredients

  • 200g chocolate (your favourite flavour)
  • breakfast cereals like choco rice crisps, honey balls, etc.

Directions

  1. Take some little paper cups and fill them with your favourite breakfast cereals.
  2. Heat the chocolate until melted, if necessary adding a drop of milk or cream for a real smooth chocolate mass.
  3. Drip the delicious chocolate mixture over the breakfast cereals.
  4. Put in a cold place to harden.
  5. Serve the pralines as an alternative treat with coffee, or at a children’s party.

Yummy chocolate rounds

Ingredients

  • 200g chocolate (your favourite flavour)
  • 125g breakfast cereals like fruity crunchy

Directions

  1. Cover a baking tray with baking parchment.
  2. Melt the chocolate.
  3. Use a teaspoon to pour little piles of chocolate onto the baking tray, then smooth them into coin shapes.
  4. Sprinkle some crunchy and dried fruit pieces into the chocolate.
  5. Allow the chocolate to harden in a cool place.
  6. Enjoy!

Crunchy White Mountains

Ingredients (serves 2):

  • 400 ml yoghurt
  • 125g fruity crunchy or an alternative breakfast cereal
  • fresh or freeze-dried fruit: banana slices, strawberries, kiwis, raisins, apple chunks, cherries, seedless grapes, berry mix, etc.

Directions

  1. Put two spoonfuls of fresh or defrosted fruits in the bottom of a glass.
  2. Pour 3 spoonfuls of yoghurt on top.
  3. Sprinkle a spoonful of fruity crunchy over the yoghurt.
  4. Repeat each layer until you have made your own Crunchy White Mountain.






Crunchy White Mountains

Crunchy Ice-cream

Ingredients

  • 250ml milk
  • 75 g sugar
  • 250 ml double cream
  • 125g tropical crunchy

Directions

  1. Pour the milk and sugar into a saucepan and heat gently until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Let the milk cool down and when cold, stir in the cream.
  3. Transfer the mixture to an ice-cream maker. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
  4. Add the tropical crunchy as the ice-cream begins to thicken.





Crunchy Ice Cream

Muesli cookies

Ingredients

  • 150g self-raising flour
  • 125g muesli
  • 75g sugar
  • ½ dl milk
  • ½ dl oil
  • 2 eggs (separated)
  • jam

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  2. Line a baking tray with baking parchment.
  3. Use a wooden spoon to thoroughly mix the muesli with the oil and milk.
  4. Combine the egg yolk, sugar and self-raising flour.
  5. Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold them very gently into the mixture.
  6. Carefully place spoonfuls of the mixture onto the baking parchment about 2 cm apart.
  7. Top with a bit of jam.
  8. Bake in the oven for about 17 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Leave the cookies to cool and then store in an airtight container to keep them crispy.








Muesli Cookies

Bread

Fruity Crunchy bread

Ingredients

  • 350g white wheat flour
  • 150g fruity crunchy
  • 300 ml water
  • 8g yeast
  • 7 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • a bread machine

Directions

  1. First pour the yeast into the bread machine.
  2. Add the white flour and fruity crunchy.
  3. Add salt and oil.
  4. Add the water.
  5. Select the ‘whole wheat’ cycle.
  6. Remove bread from machine when ready and let it cool on a wire rack.
